Onsite BESS Prevents Grid Overload During High-Demand Testing

Onsite BESS Prevents Grid Overload During High-Demand Testing

Case Study

On the 19th of February, site consumption at Dale Power Solutions surged to 266kW due to additional testing - 74kW over our 192kW grid connection limit. However, thanks to our onsite Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), we could draw only 171kW from the grid, with the BESS supplying 95kW to balance the load.

Without the support of our BESS, exceeding the grid limit would have triggered alarms, requiring immediate load shedding and operational adjustments to avoid blowing the mains incoming fuses. This seamless energy management highlights the critical role of BESS in ensuring grid stability and uninterrupted operations, particularly during high-demand testing scenarios.

Our Onsite BESS Units

As we prepare for multiple upcoming tests expected to reach similar energy levels, our proactive Energy Management System ensures the system is charged at off-peak times and ready to mitigate potential grid overloads when needed.

Dale Power Solutions continues to demonstrate the real-world benefits of BESS technology, reinforcing energy resilience while optimising grid consumption.
