Efficient out-of-hours Service Team provides swift fix for hospital generator
Case Study
Our client telephoned Dale's out-of-hours service team one Sunday lunchtime when the generator providing backup power to the hospital could not be switched back to mains supply.Overuse of the generator had run the fuel levels in the 1700l tank to a critically low level. There was only a few hours of fuel remaining.
Dale responded quickly. An engineer was on site within an hour of receiving the call (this client has a 4-hour SLA callout)
An emergency fuel delivery was immediately ordered, and our engineer remained on site until the tank was fully fuelled, with 1000 litres (less than 3 hours later
A site survey for a bypass switch took place the following day
A hire generator was deemed unnecessary. A temporary fix allowed power to be sourced from the mains
The following day the engineer returned to site and fixed the fault on the control system and the mains supply was reinstated
Efficient delivery in less that 72 hours.
